Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Reduction

Total Organic Carbon (TOC) is a measure of the total amount of carbon in organic compounds in pure water and aqueous systems. Organic carbon-containing compounds can either be dissolved in water or exist in water as undissolved, suspended material, or liquid. This organic matter can enter water naturally and through man-made sources/processes.

PIWAR TOC Reduction System Technologies provides a cost effective, chemical free and efficient solution in the reduction of TOC. The water passes through a closed vessel system which incorporates LPHO (low pressure high output) 185 nanometer UV lamps (UV-C Lamp).

The system design, including the LPHO lamp technology, are proven effectively to reduce TOC less than 10ppb due to its absorption and energy characteristics promoting free radical formation which results in the oxidation of TOC con-verting them to CO2 and H2O.tT
